Top 5 Podcasts about the Paranormal, Unsolved Mysteries and Conspiracy Theories

Hi Spookies!

Something I recently noticed is that I constantly feel the urge to tell my friends and family about some podcasts I really love. I listen to podcasts every day - on the way to work, while cooking and even while showering. And of course, just like in everything else I watch and listen to, these podcasts are all about mysterious events, true crime or conspiracy theories.

So naturally, I thought I'd share with you all my current top 5 favourite podcasts and where to find them!

1. Mile Higher Podcast

The Mile Higher Podcast is one of my absolute favourite shows. It is hosted by Youtubers Kendall Rae and Josh Thomas that I've been watching for years. They both make regular podcast episodes on conspiracy theories such as the Marilyn Monroe, the Denver Airport and the JFK assassination conspiracies. They also make true crime episodes where they focus on infamous criminals such as Charles Manson, Ted Bundy or Chris Watts. I particularly love their Unexplained Phenomena series where they talk about all sorts of unsolved mysteries from whats under the Egypt Pyramids to Spontaneous Human Combustion. Kendall and Josh thoroughly research their topics each time and share a lot of CRAZY information that will get you staying up all night thinking!

2. Real Ghost Stories

Real Ghost Stories is the first paranormal podcast I came across years ago, and I've been hooked ever since! Hosted by couple Tony and Jenny Brueski, the show allows listeners from all over the world to call or write the show to tell their paranormal stories, followed by a debrief by the hosts. It's a great podcast if you love listening to short ghost stories, whether you believe they are all true or not. Tony's humour is always spot on and its always exciting when callers call back to give updates on their paranormal experience. And cherry on top, they upload every single day, so you'll never run out of episodes if you listen religiously like I do!

3. Stuff They Don't Want You To Know

I discovered this podcast only about a year and a half ago. I listened to its sister show - Stuff You Should Know - religiously before finding this one. This show is hosted by Ben, Noel and Matt and explores many conspiracy theories as well as real crazy events that took place in History. In their many episodes, they have explored the CIA's MKULTRA program, the Salem Witch Trials, Cults, and the Student Loan Conspiracy theory. The hosts are also very well informed on the topics they explore and always keep a good amount of skepticism when investigating extraordinary cases - always appreciated when it comes to conspiracy theories which can often be far-fetched.

4. The Paranormal Podcast

The Paranormal Podcast is also one of the first shows I came across talking about spirits and other paranormal phenomena. The host, Jim Harold, has been podcasting on the matter since 2005! His shows are always so diverse and interesting: each episode features a guest specialised in different fields - mediums, tarot readers, paranormal investigators and alien theorists. Jim and his guests have covered just about every paranormal topic: ghosts, aliens, black eyed children, demons, you name it!

5. Stuff You Should Know

Stuff You Should Know is one of the very first podcasts I got hooked to many years ago. This show isn't strictly a true crime / conspiracy theory / mystery show, but it has covered some pretty interesting and mysterious topics over the years. Some of my favourite episodes include "How Witchcraft Works", "How Vampires Work", "The Satanic Panic of the 80's" and "How Egypt's Pyramids Work". Josh and Chuck, the hosts, make a great deal of research in preparing each episode and always have interesting facts to tell the audience about. I have learned many things, not just related to spooky topics, thanks to this show. Bonus point: I find the hosts' voices extremely calming and relaxing!

Let me know in the comment section which podcasts you love to listen to and if you try any of the ones I recommended, please tell me your thoughts on them!

In the meantime, remember to stay spooky!
